This course covered a small selection of Shakespeare's many works. It focused on the major themes and differences between comedies and dramas. Additionally, this class encouraged us to engage with the theatre community in Chicago, as we went to see Henry V at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. In this class, I wrote a paper covering the idea of female hysteria in the character of Lady Macbeth. This class allowed me to obtain a more insightful and analytical perspective in works of theatre, specifically in more classic works like Shakespeare.
